School Inclusion Bus

This double decker bus conversion project serves as an activity centre and was created in collaboration with a primary school, for use by all the children including those with special needs.

The paintwork and conversion was completed exclusively by Pride Horseboxes, and is perhaps one of the most fulfilling projects we have had the pleasure of working on.

The bus includes electricity & Wi-fi, with seating areas for the children to observe and study wildlife. At the rear of the bus is an area where the children can contact family who are stationed away from home in the armed forces.

There is a meeting area for the children, and we also included a "soft" play area. The inside areas were decorated and furnished to appeal to the children, and the outside painting and images added to make the bus a "special place" for them to meet, and learn.

Downstairs there is a fully functional drivers seat, window wipers and hooter etc. Behind the stairwell - there is a fish tank, and we also included a sensory room. Above this, there is a quiet area. At the back downstairs there is a furnished seating area that is used as a lbrary and teaching station.

Upstairs, individual seats have been turned to give seating area and tables, and the area also has a fully functional sink.

There is even a sand pit!

All the furnishings were kindly donated by a friend of the school, and most materials were donated by local businesses.
